Funky, beautiful, quaint, cosy, lovely, fun, eclectic, cool and interesting, are just some of the adjectives that have been used by customers visiting Simply Home … a retail store specializing in painted antique and vintage furniture located in the heart of the Leslieville area of Eastend Toronto.

The shop is filled with treasures of all colours, sizes and provenances … from an 1800’s central European hutch to an Ontario farmhouse table. Sets of painted chairs mingle with upholstered armchairs, single chairs just perfect for a desk, tall dressers, 6 drawer dressers, 2 drawer dressers and pretty white ‘Shabby’ vanities. Bedside tables and kitchen cabinets sit side by side with a cream and orange bookcase, topped with a 1930’s bakelite radio. We also have dining tables, side tables, tall cabinets, window frame chalk / message boards and benches … all made from reclaimed / salvaged wood. There are also outdoor metal chairs, sunporch ‘40’s wicker and French country settees.

To round out the inventory we have handmade soaps and lotions from Cottage North in Port Dover, jams, jellies and vinaigrettes from Yummies in a Jar in Muskoka and one of a kind, or one of a few, cushions, purses, bags and totes from Echoes in the Attic. These fab bags and cushions are made from ‘rescued remnants’ from Ethan Allen, Robert Allen and Global.

Coming soon are throws made from beautiful old linens and chenille blankets. We also offer in home decorating consultations as well as custom pieces made from salvaged wood / materials, by Second Bloom Designs.
